Rectifier (Battery Charger)
The industrial rectifier is designed to provide safe and stabilized direct current to services which, due to their characteristics, require a reliable and uninterrupted power supply in the event of a possible power outage. It is used for all applications that require DC power.
Industrial power supplies are based on an industrial rectifier that stands out for its robustness and reliability, designed to supply critical loads in direct current or to charge all types of batteries. Industrial power supplies are based on standardized SCR and IGBT power converter technologies to offer high reliability and efficiency at a contained cost. It is a safe equipment with digital control technology that adapts to any battery type and technology and to any voltage and current.
The Amperis ASR rectifier/charger combines the connection of different devices. It is designed to supply direct current to critical applications, where the load: must be free from harmonic distortion, must be electrically isolated from the supply and must be continuously powered.

Transformer: Electrical device by means of which the alternating voltage is lowered. That is, it converts alternating electrical energy of one voltage level into alternating energy of another voltage level, by means of electromagnetic induction. The frequency is the same.
Rectifier: This is a device that converts alternating current into direct current. What it does is convert the sinusoidal alternating signal into a direct current signal. Rectifier circuits suitable for industrial applications are protected against overvoltages at the input and output. The full wave rectifier is designed to operate from single phase or three phase power, this AC/DC converter uses SCR silicon controlled rectifiers (SCR is a type of thyristor through which current flows around half of the AC positive cycle and blocks half of the negative cycle). A rectified voltage is thus obtained. Filter: filter the signal by means of capacitors, stabilize it. The goal is to eliminate the ripple (the ripple should be as low as possible).
A regulator eliminates the ripple oscillation. A stabilized DC voltage is obtained. High harmonic content generates a low power factor, so it must be reduced, because it means inefficient use of electrical energy. The control of the output parameters is obtained by regulation by means of thyristors with 6 or 12 pulses and the resulting ripple is filtered.
Basically, the equipment consists of a stabilized charger that provides the quality and reliable energy required by the services and, at the same time, manages the charging of the batteries (keeping them always in optimal charge conditions for the service). Regulation, control and alarm circuits are efficiently integrated. Uses latest generation microprocessors. It offers high reliability guaranteed by thyristor technology, ensures the user a quality DC power supply and its front-access design allows easy maintenance.
Battery charging. Keep the battery charged (float charge). Constant DC power supply: Standard output voltages: 24, 48, 220 VDC nominal voltages.
Maximum output current: 10,20,30,40,50,100,150,200,320,500A.
Applications: industry, telecommunications, transport, mines, petrochemicals, etc.
The charger can operate in two charging positions:
Recharge a partially or fully discharged battery. Trickle charging a battery and supplying consumers at the same time. After a power outage, the batteries begin to discharge and provide power. Once the primary supply is restored and the batteries discharged, the rectifier supplies constant current to the batteries until the floating voltage value is reached, and from this point the rectifier switches to constant voltage.
The system has a comprehensive user interface to easily set up the system and display operating values, status and alarms. The microprocessor control unit allows to set the basic parameters of the equipment, to monitor them, to set the necessary alarms and to allow the display of the variables.

The Amperis MMF-ASR Battery Rectifier features the most efficient technology available today.
It is of robust and reliable design for industrial applications, with the advantage of easy access and on-site maintenance.
It is a universal charger valid for all types of batteries (multi-voltage, multi-capacity and multi-chemical): vented lead-acid, VRLA (valve-regulated lead-acid) or nickel-cadmium. It can also be used as a power source without a battery.
The big advantage is that you have a full set of factory-programmed standard load curves with the ability to create and save custom load curves. MMF-ASR control cards are based on state-of-the-art microprocessors. The charger/restorer is based on standardized SCR and IGBT power conversion technologies.
THE MMF-ASR LOADER IS A STRAIGHTENING SYSTEM THAT COMBINES THE VERSATILITY OF THE MMF LOADER WITH THE ADVANTAGES OF THE ASR STRAIGHTENER.
- The Amperis MMF charger is a universal, programmable, digitally controlled charger. It can work with any type of battery and support any type of application (training, conditioning, recovery, desulphation and regeneration). It has a very complete set of load curves (the user can program new curves).
- The Amperis ASR battery rectifier is designed to supply critical DC loads or to charge any type of battery. It is based on standardized IGBT and SCR power conversion technologies (in 6/12 pulse configuration), which guarantees high reliability and efficiency.
It is based on a new energy conversion technology, which combines very high efficiency, unity power factor (PFC), universal capabilities and precise load control.
The MMF-ASR ensures minimal battery temperature rise during the charging process, thanks to the ultra-filtered output current (perfectly constant charging current and zero ripple). It has an output blocking diode for parallel capacitance, dual output connectors and an output LC filter.
The power stage convection cooling system is designed for 24-hour operation.
